How it works:
The chat is a waste of time, so we have no chat.
The chat doesn't work anyway, because it is a very low-bandwidth medium.
The chat has its own weird unwritten rules. Like if you say "hi" in the real world, the other person will say "hi" back, but on a dating app, you will likely be ghosted or immediately unmatched.
The chat builds up a false mental image of the other person, which increases the fear of meeting in person.
The chat is a horrible filter. Sure, it filters out crazy people, but it also filters out decent ones.
Let's face it: dating is a numbers game. The more people you meet, the better your chances of success. This is what we optimize for: to get you more dates as efficiently as possible.
Profiles are inaccurate representations of us, yet even after a match, people second-guess their decisions. This is pointless overthinking. Just date more people! To remove second guessing, we turn users' matches into frogs, alas dates are effectively blind dates but with people you have already liked.
Once you have a match, just update your dating calendar. If you are both available for a date, we book a table in a bar.
This works with a single match or 100, and you only have to update your calendar 1x.
We book a table at a partner bar so they know and they can keep an eye on you.
We have a pay-per-date business model, where at least one of the users have to sponsor the date.
We have like-0 and like-1, choose either for any user you want to date.
Like-0 is free. If you only use like-0, you can use the app for completely free.
Like-1 is paid, it costs 1 credit (3.900Ft).
The trick is, a match requires at least one paid like, so like-0 & like-0 doesn't match.
No-shows cost 1 credit after the fact or you can't go on future dates.
Payment is much closer to value creation, and closer to value means higher incentive to pay. Users said there is a huge FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) after a match.
